Dr. Alex Piedra is a board-certified pediatric dentist, educator, and father who is deeply committed to helping children feel safe, confident, and cared for at every visit. Born in Ecuador and raised in Seattle, Dr. Piedra brings a warm, family-centered approach shaped by his own upbringing and his role as a parent.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, earned his dental degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry, and completed his pediatric dental training in Yakima, Washington, where he served hundreds of children. He is board certified in pediatric dentistry and holds advanced pediatric specialist surgery credentials at McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, Texas, where he regularly cares for children with special needs.

Dr. Piedra is also an Adjunct Professor at Baylor University, teaching Foundations of Dentistry, and is currently completing advanced executive leadership training through Harvard Business School, bringing the highest standards of care, safety, and organization into every part of his practice.

Above all, Dr. Piedra believes great pediatric dentistry is built on trust, kindness, and clear communication with parents. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys time with his wife and children, staying active, and discovering great food. Families love him for his calm presence, attention to detail, and genuine love for kids.
